Nicole Holas is a lawyer, reader, writer, sports fan and lover of the arts. She was born in Grenada, West Indies and moved to Canada with her family in 1974. She grew up in Calgary, and lived in Halifax before she moved in Vancouver in 2007. She now calls Burnaby home.
Nicole’s first real taste of theatre was playing the Wicked Witch of the West in her elementary school’s production of The Wizard of Oz. Many years later, in 2012, she was the lighting designer for Chasing Home, a play produced by Screaming Weenie Theatre Productions. Itai Erdal was her mentor for this project, and Nicole was so inspired by Itai, and the behind-the-scenes aspects of theatre, that she joined The Elbow’s board.
